Thankfully most of us have more positive than negative habits,but it’s the negative ones that keep us from being all we can be.

Habits are automatic things we do everyday, all day, oftentimes without even realizing we are doing them, in fact we don’t really plan on doing them.

They are a learned actions or reactions that are based on experiences or memories you have stored in your subconscious mind. You may not consciously remember them, but your subconscious remembers everything.

They may be related to stress, fear, uncertainty or or lack of confidence.

It usually take more than just sheer will power to change these negative behaviors, which doesn’t mean you are weak or unsuccessful, it simply means that whatever is triggering the behavior is deeply embedded in your subconscious.

Are these and other similar phrases things you hear yourself saying on a regular basis? If so, then you’re probably a procrastinator.

There have been many wonderful quotes made on procrastination, but one of my favorites comes from Christopher Parker who once said: “Procrastination is like a credit card, it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.”

Just as it can be difficult to cut up your credit card, it can also be difficult to stop procrastinating. But there does come a time when things catch up to you, deadlines are missed and emergency strikes. It would have been much easier to face the task that you have been avoiding than to play “catch up”, “clean up” or “face up”.
