Stop Procrastinating – Don’t Put It Off!
I’ll get to that tomorrow
I’ll do it later
There’s no time like the future
Are these and other similar phrases things you hear yourself saying on a regular basis? If so, then you’re probably a procrastinator.
There have been many wonderful quotes made on procrastination, but one of my favorites comes from Christopher Parker who once said: “Procrastination is like a credit card, it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.”
Just as it can be difficult to cut up your credit card, it can also be difficult to stop procrastinating. But there does come a time when things catch up to you, deadlines are missed and emergency strikes. It would have been much easier to face the task that you have been avoiding than to play “catch up”, “clean up” or “face up”.
The results of procrastination…
We all put off doing things every once in a while, but doing so on a regular basis can start to take its toll, in fact, procrastinating can be considered a type of self sabotage as it slowly but surely takes over your life in negative ways. It can:
- Weigh heavily on your mind and cause stress
- Lower your self worth
- Cause others to lose faith in you
- Cause you to lose sleep
- Cause you to miss opportunities
- Cause you to feel like a failure
- Ruin relationships, personal or professional
You Can Stop Procrastinating
Imagine how great it will feel when you “stop delaying the inevitable”, feel pride in your accomplishments handled in a timely fashion, feel the trust and appreciation from those around you and relax because you don’t have unfinished business hanging over your head.
Using Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques can help you uncover self limiting beliefs that have been pre-programmed into your subconscious mind and are holding you back from discovering your full potential.
