Misophonia is kind of a funny word, but it’s definitely not a funny condition! It’s an extreme sensitivity to different noises or sounds, not just a mild irritation.

The sounds don’t have to be loud or grating, they are noises we hear everyday. They are typically noises made by other people, and can be as simple as someone clearing their throat, eating or drinking.
These noises can cause you to become irritable, irate and even sometimes irrational.
